Why did you guys kill Rita Morgan?
What was the point, really?
Didn’t you actually suggest,
just a few moments before
he finds her bathing in blood,
that Dexter is perfectly ready
to get off your hook and go off the screen for good,
into the regular boring invisible life
that both of them had wanted since Episode 2,
or very close to that?
Did you intend to say
that, want it however we might,
the character cannot slip off
the script that was carved into him
once and for all?
Or was it intended to show
that wanting some kind of happiness for the two of them
is entirely out of place
under the circumstances?
Or was it rather the script
of never stopping the show as long
as one can help it?
Either way, now
Dexter will have to do something
worthy of his fame,
and I will continue to have
my little American life on the side.

Да, я тоже скучный человек, я не хочу смотреть шестой сезон. Мне достаточно того, что в конце пятого он уже страдает не из-за того, что не может никому показаться из живых людей, а от того, что от него ушла девушка. Я хочу просто записать себе, что Люмен вернулась в Майами через пару недель, ну месяцев - потому что она ведь не может не вернуться, правильно? И что они зажили спокойно все вчетвером, с детишками, и все про них забыли :)
Но если выйдет шестой сезон - я конечно же буду смотреть, куда я денусь :)

Я вот сейчас пытаюсь вспомнить, почему нас тогда не ужаснул этот финал. То ли мы нахватались спойлеров (это скорее всего: я люблю предварительно знать, о чем фильм, - опять же, во избежание излишних повреждений слабой нервной системы, голова - это мое больное место:)); то ли было слишком ясно, что это такое "шоу должно продолжаться", очередной сеанс на той же карусели... Кстати, мне вот очень хотелось, чтобы он справился с собой, выздоровел и стал жить нормально, без убийств, и жизни радоваться. А если адреналина не хватает - то пусть ловит преступников-маньяков и сдает их государству по твердой цене за килограмм, но в живом виде! Наверное, я скучный человек...
